Tofu Isobe Mochi is an Asian dish that can be eaten on the side with vegetables like blanched spinach or cucumber slices or by itself
Ingredients:
400g silken tofu
330g glutinous rice flour / sticky rice flour
3 tbsp soy sauce
3 tbsp mirin
1.5 tbsp sugar
50ml water
Seaweed sheets
Instructions:
- Add silken tofu into a bowl and crush with your hands
- Add in your choice of flour and mix until a dough forms
- Divide and form into 8 round pucks
- Boil until they float (do this in batches so as not to overcrowd the pot)
- Mix the sauce together in a pan and add the mochi
- Cook until the sauce thickens, coating the mochi the whole time.
